Preheat oven to 350°F. Place paper liners in 4 mini muffin cups. Spray 9x13-inch pan with baking spray.
Blend cake mix, water, eggs, and oil in a large bowl with an electric mixer on low speed until moistened, about 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes. If desired, use pink food coloring to dye batter pink. Scoop about 1-1/2 tablespoons batter into 4 mini muffin cups. Pour remaining batter into 9x13-inch pan.
Bake mini cupcakes 12 to 14 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Bake 9x13-inch cake 20 to 23 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack 15 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely.
Scoop about 1/3-cup white frosting into a piping or freezer bag. Scoop about 1/2-cup white frosting into a small bowl and dye pink. Scoop remaining white frosting into a large bowl and dye bright yellow. Trace your desired roller blade shape on a 10x14-inch cardboard cake board and use a craft knife to cut it out.
Place 9x13-inch cake on cake board and use a serrated knife to cut around it. Use your scraps and some yellow frosting to attach part and make the rest of the roller blade shape. Frost all the cut edges of the cake with a very thin layer of yellow frosting. Refrigerate cake at least 15 minutes to set the crumbs.
Spread pink frosting on the mini cupcakes. Scoop a couple tablespoons yellow frosting into a piping or freezer bag and cut off a small corner. Draw circles and a dot on each cupcake to make the wheel spokes.
Remove cake from refrigerator and frost entirely with yellow frosting. Pipe pink lines and a ribbon for shoelaces and strap. Add further details with white and pink frosting as desired. Serve your roller blade cake!
