1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
12 tablespoons butter, divided use
1 cup milk

Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray large baking sheet with cooking spray.
Stir together biscuit mix, cheese, and chives in large bowl. Cut in 10 tablespoons cold butter using your hands, a pastry cutter, or food processor. Create coarse crumbs of butter and incorporate into the dry mix.
Stir in milk using a scoop-down and fold-over motion until soft dough forms. Do not overwork the dough.
Divide dough into portions, about 3 tablespoons each and drop onto baking sheet. Bake 9 to 11 minutes, until golden brown. Melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter and brush over hot biscuits before serving.
