A satisfying soup recipe with all your favorite pizza topping ingredients

  • 1/2 pound Italian pork sausage, casings removed if present
  • 1 pkg (8 oz each) sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) Hunt's® Tomato Sauce with Basil, Garlic and Oregano
  • 1-1/2 cups frozen cheese tortellini
  • 1-1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Purchase ingredients from Peapod or Amazon

  1. Heat large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add sausage, mushrooms, bell pepper and onion; cook 7 minutes or until sausage is crumbled and no longer pink, stirring occasionally. Drain.
  2. Add tomato sauce, tortellini and water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes or until tortellini and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Top each serving evenly with cheese.

Love this recipe. I have made this twice now. My husband loves it too. I am not a big sausage fan but this soup is delicious.

ever since I was a little boy I wanted to eat liquid pizza..... this did not satisfy
