Sweet and savory baked beans with slices of succulent smoked sausage

  • PAM® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 1 pkg (2.1 oz each) fully cooked bacon, chopped
  • 8 ounces smoked sausage, sliced diagonally
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cans (28 oz each) Van Camp's® Pork and Beans
  • 1 can (6 oz each) Hunt's® Tomato Paste
  • 1/2 cup Hunt's® Tomato Ketchup
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Gulden's® Spicy Brown Mustard

Purchase ingredients from Peapod or Amazon

  1. Spray inside of large slow cooker with cooking spray. Combine bacon, sausage, onion, beans, tomato paste, ketchup, sugar and mustard in slow cooker.
  2. Cook on LOW 4 to 6 hours or on HIGH 2 to 3 hours. Stir before serving.

I brought five cans of your pork & beans I might as well brought bean soup. All juice very little beans in the wt. 15 ounces. very disappointed in the serving. size. had to add brown sugar to the bowl of soup! rating number two poor

The website wouldn't show me all the reviews so I couldn't see whatever negatives there may have been from others but the recipe read well so we tried it. My family and I loved this. Really, really good. On first mixup, it tastes like it needs salt. Don't be fooled because some salt flavor cooks out of the sausage and bacon...glad I waited. A new family favorite.
