A Better for You salmon burger recipe is flavored with spicy brown mustard and topped with fresh tomato and creamy mayonnaise

  • 3 pouches (5 oz each) skinless boneless pink salmon, drained
  • 1/2 cup dry seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup Egg Beaters® Original
  • 2 tablespoons Gulden's® Spicy Brown Mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • PAM® Grilling Spray
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 6 slices fresh tomato

Purchase ingredients from Peapod or Amazon

  1. Preheat gas grill for medium-high heat. Meanwhile, combine salmon, bread crumbs, Egg Beaters, mustard and pepper in medium bowl. Shape mixture into 6 patties, about 1/2-inch thick.
  2. Spray 18x12-inch piece of heavy foil with grilling spray; place on grill grate. Add salmon patties; grill 4 minutes on each side or until set and hot. Meanwhile, spray cut sides of buns with grilling spray; toast on grill.
  3. Spread mayonnaise evenly on cut sides of buns. Place patties on bottom halves of buns; top with tomato. Close with tops of buns.

This sandwich tastes great, but is a little too fishy, the flavor just makes me want to curl up and cry with a nice book.

I am not crazy about salmon, but I made these to try them. They are amazing. I would recommend these. The down side is they fall apart very easy when turning on the grill.
