Savory stroganoff with mushrooms and noodles in a creamy brown gravy

  • 12 ounces dry wide egg noodles, uncooked (about 6 cups)
  • 1 pkg (27 oz each) frozen Banquet® Family Size Salisbury Steaks and Brown Gravy
  • 1 can (14 oz each) lower sodium beef broth
  • 1 can (8 oz drained wt each) sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and ground black pepper, optional

Purchase ingredients from Peapod or Amazon

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions about 6 minutes or until almost tender. Drain and return to pan.
  2. Meanwhile, microwave family entree according to package directions. Cut salisbury steaks into bite-size pieces.
  3. Add entree, broth and mushrooms to noodles; stir. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Fold in sour cream until combined. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.

Easy to make (even for somebody like me who avoids the kitchen at all costs), but there's almost no flavor to it. I added extra spices (paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder) and it was slightly more edible. Take the time and make the real thing!

Yummy! Instead of mushrooms I used a can of cream of mushroom soup to make it creamy! I also baked it a while in the oven before adding sour cream.

This is a quick easy recipe. Just add Veggies(my family doesn't like mushrooms). All the flavors come together for a creamy enjoyable meal.
