Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 24 muffin cups lightly with baking spray or line with paper liners.
CRUMB TOPPING: In a medium bowl combine butter and brown sugar using pastry cutter or fork until butter is in pea sized pieces. Add flour, cinnamon and salt and continue combining with pastry cutter or fork until mixture is dry and crumbly. Set aside.
MUFFIN BATTER: In a large bowl beat cake mix, flour, milk, oil and eggs using handheld mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat additional 1 minute on medium speed. Batter will be thick.
Spoon batter into muffin liners until halfway full, about 1 1/2 tablespoons in each. Top with 1 tablespoon crumb topping each. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted into centers comes out clean. Remove from oven and allow to cool in pans on wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove muffins from pans and cool completely on wire rack. Serve or store in airtight container.
Stir 2 mashed ripe bananas into muffin batter before baking!
