Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare a 9’x5’ loaf pan by spraying with cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine butter with the sugars and stir until thoroughly mixed. Add the eggs one at a time, thoroughly mixing after each. Add the yogurt, mashed bananas, vanilla extract and salt and stir well.
Add flour to the bowl and sprinkle the baking soda on top. Gently stir the baking soda into the flour before incorporating into the banana mixture. Stir everything together just until no streaks of flour remain. Do not overmix!
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake on the middle rack 60 to 70 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for about ten minutes before turning out onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the cream cheese frosting just until it easily stirs, about 10 seconds. Stir and pour over the banana bread, using a butter knife to spread evenly and allow some of the frosting to drip down the sides. Sprinkle with pecan pieces and let sit a few minutes to let the frosting set up before slicing and serving.
