Shared Tastes Panel
Thinking about trying a new recipe? We're here to help; we've compiled a panel to review our recipes. They're people with full, hectic lives, just like you.
They are trying to please their families or eat healthier; or maybe they just need recipes for two. So, find the person most like you, and see what he or she thinks of a recipe before you give it a go.
Follow our Households with Kids panelists to find out how recipes fared for the entire family—children included.
Our Picky Eater panelists will review recipes with their finicky foodies in mind, and fill you in on whether the recipe fits their tastes.
Check our Cooking for Two reviews to see how recipes work for those who just need to make enough for two adults.
Look to our Healthy Living panelists to see if our "Good for You" recipes will work for you.

- Being prepared (as in taking food out of the freezer)
- Cost
This is very hard for me. I love variety, but if I must choose, I'll say homemade pizza, fancy sandwiches like panini or wraps, salads, prime rib, anything with eggs, rice pudding, and ice cream.
I love sharing information with people, whether it's a makeup tip, a new product I just discovered, or how to cook a tasty meal. People are what food is about! Even if we cook just for ourselves, we deserve it prepared with love because that effort comes through to the plate. I want to show love through my food. Read more about me on my blog.

Asian Chicken Noodle Bowl Asian-Inspired Mini Burgers Tortellini Vegetable Soup Chicken with Balsamic Tomatoes Maple-Mustard Pork with Sweet Potatoes Spinach Walnut Penne Orange-Spinach Salad with Chicken Salmon with Curried Orange Sauce- Timing. I have a husband who works till 8 p.m. and an early-riser child, who tends to be sound asleep when her father arrives home. I need to find recipes where the creating can be Mommy & Me (my daughter loves to "help"), eaten around 6 p.m. by the first sitting, and still remain palatable for the second sitting with the spouse.
- Palates. Whether it's nature or nurture, my child takes after her mama in the penchant for the plainer foods in life. I'm working to keep introducing new tastes (mainly spicy), and to start getting them consumed, and not snubbed.
- Health. I frequently revert back to dinners of steamed/grilled/poached protein, veggies, and fruit for dessert. I know this is healthy, and I also know this will set my daughter up for success the next day (energy and mood-wise), but I would like to expand my repertoire and cook more!
Mine: Salmon
The Child's: Mac and cheese
The Husband's (according to the child): Toast
Carla attempts to juggle motherhood, filming motivational/exercise videos, crafting copious amounts of Tweets, recording a podcast, and blogging all without breaking a sweat. When she does, as happens frequently, she simply calls it cardio. Her health mantra is... fitness isn't about fitting in. She believes we might all share the goal of a longer, healthier life, but it's OK (and even encouraged if you're in her family) to carve your unique path there.

Other Recipes I've Reviewed:
Asian-Inspired Mini Burgers Beef and Noodle Stir-Fry Maple-Mustard Pork with Sweet Potatoes Chicken with Balsamic Tomatoes Italian Chicken Packets Spinach Walnut Penne- Time. My boyfriend and I are super busy, between work and our various commitments. Sometimes grabbing something on the run seems easiest, but we both want that to change, because we know we can eat better at home, and save money in the process!
- Stepping out of my comfort zone. As someone who never took naturally to cooking, I find it scary to try new things, or if a recipe calls for an ingredient I don't recognize, I've always just looked for a new recipe entirely. But this means that I only have a few solid, go-to recipes, and I would like some more variety!
- Simplicity. Some recipes are too complicated—as I mentioned above, I'm not a "natural" in the kitchen, so I need recipes that give fantastic directions and are simple to understand. I want to do this for my boyfriend and me, but I also want to have a family someday (soon!), so simplicity will be key in making healthy dinners for us to enjoy on a regular basis.
Jane, who blogs at MomGenerations.com, is a freelance writer by day and a runner and triathlete in her free time. She has been dating her boyfriend for more than a year, and he has awakened the domestic goddess inside she never thought existed. Jane has always been a better baker than cook, but she hopes to start a family soon and realizes that a steady diet of brownies is probably not ideal.

There's very little in the way of food that I don't love: Thai, Tex-Mex, Mexican, Italian, and French are my favorites. But, my hands-down favorite comfort food is oven-roasted rosemary sweet potatoes. Yum!
