I had two cans of stewed tomatoes that were close to the expiration date, so I googled recipes for stew tomatoes and found this recipe. It was very good, I would make it again.

We made this soup a few nights ago for dinner; included a few extra ingredients, and it was delicious. We added fresh garlic and fresh herbs, and at the end stirred in a little skim milk to make it more creamy. Served with a grilled cheese sandwich, and it was a perfect comfort-food dinner!
