A Pot-Sized Pasta recipe with creamy Alfredo sauce, fresh basil and seasoned diced tomatoes added to linguine for an easy one pan recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 can (14 oz each) reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 ounces dry Pot-Sized(tm) Linguine, uncooked
  • 1 jar (16 oz each) light Alfredo pasta sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 can (14.5 oz each) Hunt's® Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic and Oregano, drained

Directions
  1. Heat broth and water in large skillet over medium-high heat until simmering. Add linguine. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes or until linguine is tender, stirring occasionally.
  2. Stir in Alfredo sauce, basil, garlic powder and pepper. Gently stir in drained tomatoes. Cook 2 minutes more or until hot.

Pot-Sized Linguine is 5 inches long --- the perfect size to fit in a pan without breaking. If Pot-Sized Linguine is not available, break regular linguine in half for this recipe.

Wow! A true Italian dish done In half the time. This is thee perfect dinner for a busy family! And, it tastes amazing!! This has become a must keep recipe for our family! Simple, inexpensive and enough for everyone to enjoy!

I've tweaked this twice now. Both times came out good. I fried parmesan meatballs with it this time using panko. Last time blanckened shrimp skewers. 👌

This recipe was amazing! I too used the tomato juice with the broth to cook the pasta. I am not a fan of basil so only used 1 tsp. of dried. Also added cut up chicken breast. Will definitely make this again.

Hubby is not a fan of pasta dishes, but he absolutely loved this. I added some slices of italian sausage and mushrooms to the mix. Quick, easy and good, what more can you ask for?
