A delicious mashed sweet potato recipe made on the stovetop with orange ginger stir fry sauce and brown sugar for subtle flavor

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons La Choy® Orange Ginger Stir Fry Sauce-Marinade
  • 2 tablespoons Parkay® Original Spread-tub
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
 
Directions
  1. Place potatoes and enough water to cover in medium saucepan; bring to a boil over high heat. Cook 10 to 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain; return potatoes to saucepan.
  2. Add remaining ingredients to saucepan. Mash potatoes with potato masher until all ingredients are combined and potatoes are smooth.

great twist with the la choy sauce. I hate using a gizillion ingrediants in a dish, and I think the la choy takes care of two or three and adds extra to it.

i love sweet potatoes, and to stumble upon this recipe was heaven sent. it is so easy and most delicious. good for anytime since it is so quick to make. a must try.
