This is a great recipe...I just use regular limes and make my own whipped cream when I have time or use the reddi whip when I don't. Everyone loves it!

I have NOT made this recipe because I absolutely hate ReddiWhip because it's full of junk; just the thought of it makes me not want to make it - hence only ONE STAR! However, I make the same recipe except that I use whipped cream, I don't freeze it - I use a prebaked pie shell. In the summer, I cover the whole top with fresh berries - it is truly out of this world - I call it Lemon or Lime Cloud pie! I will try a Graham cracker crust the next time - seems like a great idea instead of having to make and bake a pie shell.

Forget looking for Key Limes and doing all that squeezing. All the good restaurants around here use bottled Nellie's and Joe's Key Lime extract with the recipe on the back. I've made this fab dessert several times and get rave reviews!

don't know who suggested the Cream Cheese although that is the pie that I made, absolutely the best Key Lime Pie ever. 5 stars

VERY EASY Key Lime Pie October 16, 2014

I make mine with 2 cans condensed milk and about 4-6 Key limes (juice that is), 2 egg yolks mix together. Pour into a reg frozen crust and top with 2-4 egg whites beaten to peak. Add powdered sugar to beaten/whipped whites to taste. This makes a lovely layer of merange. Forgot how long to bake...350 until whites are nicely browned. 20-30min? **Key Lime juice from fresh limes and powdered sugar should depend on how tart you want the custard and how sweet you want the merange(I know i blotched that sp;) People think this is the best key lime pie ever. I've had friend from Hawaii and football jocks from the South asking for this pie all the time. They've started to measure Key Lime Pies by this standard pie and I am told not even restaurants can beat it...yet.

Was reading the reviews and to Floridagal, how can you say COOL WHIP is non fattening? It is made with Palm Oil and Coconut oil. Both very high in fat. And I agree with the others that if it is not made with Key Limes or Key Lime Juice, which you can buy in the stores, it is just a Lime Pie. This is also fantastic if you substitute orange juice or lemon juice instead of the lime juice.
